Week 6 and all its ugly is finally over, and we move to a gold mine of a slate in Week 7. A quick recap of Week 6 if you live under a rock, if you had Derrick Henry or Julio Jones in your lineups (told you) you probably won some money. I personally had the Falcons stack in a few lineups, but did not tell you guys because I was not super confident in Matt Ryan. Who has two thumbs and told you to play Irv Smith Jr last week? Yours Truly. Matthew Stafford continues to disappoint me more than Adam Gase disappoints Jets fans. Overall we had a solid week with my picks, but the lineups I give you continue to not be big winners. Which brings me to something I want to talk about briefly. When I talk about these players, I am confident in their potential performance but it doesn’t mean that you should blindly follow my lineups into the Brinks trucks. I play dozens of different combinations of lineups every week so like anything else in life, readers should take in the information and draw conclusions themselves. I am here to relay my opinions, always do your own due diligence folks.
As I lose my Giants Money Line bet (Evan Engram is trash), I am building lineup after lineup to help you win that money. The Week 7 slate is a wide receiver lovers wet dream, great plays as far as the eyes can see. We will be paying up for wide outs, and looking for some value at running back and quarterback.
Aaron Jones/Jamaal WIlliams- $7200/$4000
Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams face off against the shameful Texans run defense this week. At the time of this being published Aaron Jones is questionable for Sunday with a calf strain, and to be frank, I kind of hope he sits out for that great value with Jamaal Williams. Aaron Jones will be in my lineups if he is healthy because as much as I hate to admit it, he is insanely talented. Jones is the RB3 in PPR, and 2nd in points per game, while most players have played 6 games he has only played in 5. If Jones does not play, I love Jamaal Williams and will be locked into every single lineup of mine simply because of his cheap price and the best matchup on the slate. The Texans have given up 27 points per game to running backs, and 177.5 rushing yards per game, both of which are last in the league. Love them both, may even have Williams in a few lineups regardless of the health of Aaron Jones so we can pay up at WR. Photo: Getty Images
Alvin Kamara/Latavius Murray- $7900/$4800
Michael Thomas is out, Emmanuel Sanders is out, who is left to catch the ball you ask? Alvin Kamara, that's who. Kamara could be the most versatile back in the NFL and he will be the Saints number one option this week both on the ground and through the air. He goes up against a Panthers team who cannot stop running backs, especially through the air allowing 7.8 receptions a game to backs. No need to go into further explanation with this one, play the stud and get a big week. Latavius Murray is an intriguing play in my opinion for Week 7. Lat Murray has found himself in that Mark Ingram role from a few years ago, but without the massive talent. He still sees the goal line work that Ingram saw, and will still see it this week as long as Sean Payton finally realizes that Taysom Hill (big fan right here) is not who you should give the ball to on the goal line.
Justin Jackson- $4900
I said we were going with value at RB, Justin Jackson is probably the cheapest starting running back there is. He has already shown that he is the top dog over Joshua Kelley, so I don’t think there will be much debate on who you would want to plug into your DFS lineups this week. The Jaguars have given up 22.5 fantasy points per game to running backs, 6 receptions a game for an average of just under 43 yards, which happens to be the Chargers bread and butter. Jackson is coming off of a 5 catch game, where he received 15 touches on the ground to boot. I like his usage for the price against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week.
Ronald Jones- $6200
I cannot believe that I am double dipping in the queso with RoJo. I am a former hater of RoJo, but the human top has quickly turned me into a believer with every spin move he does. In the most 2020 thing ever, Ronald Jones leads the NFL with 4 rushes over 20 yards. He is also one of two players in the NFL with 3 games with 100 rushing yards in the game, the other player is Derrick Henry. He has broken the 5th most tackles in the league with that wild spin move he does. The Raiders have given up the 3rd most fantasy points to running backs this year. Seems like another 100 yard game coming for Ronald Jones. Photo: AP Images
Julio Jones/ Calvin Ridley- $7100/$7300
I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. Julio looked healthy as he shut up all of the critics in the Week 6 win. This week they go against a Detroit Lions team that is just flat out bad, and there is no shot that anyone on this defense can cover either Julio or Ridley. It was great to watch the Falcons without that bum Dan Quinn at the helm, it almost looked like they were an actual football team! I would lock either one of these guys in my lineups without a second thought as I believe the Falcons roll through the Lions. Detroit has allowed 24.4 fantasy points per game to WRs which is 8th worst in the league, but they have not played any team that has two number one WRs. Photo: Sports Illustrated
DeAndre Hopkins/Christian Kirk- $8200/$4900
Dhop is thriving in his new home in the desert of Arizona with Kyler Murray slinging the rock to him. He has had at least 7 targets in every game, he also has three games with at least 100 yards this season. Seattle couldn’t stop a sloth running a 9 route this year, allowing 36.4 fantasy points per game, 370.4 passing yards per game which are both dead last in the league. Stud wide out versus a dumpster fire secondary smells like sweet, sweet fantasy points to me. Christian Kirk is also a great option for a deep ball play for some great value so keep an eagle eye on him if you are looking for some value at receiver.
Devante Adams- $7900
Most likely the chalk receiver play of the week but that happens when you will be seeing 12+ targets. The Packers have Davante Adams and that is about it at wideout. As bad as the Texans are against the run, they are almost as equally as bad against the pass. Tannehill, who is at best slightly above average, lit them up pretty impressively and even had a one minute game tying touchdown drive to send it to overtime. Texans have let up 24.2 fantasy points per game to WRs this year along with an average of 2.2 passing touchdowns allowed which are bottom third in the league. Aaron Rodgers and Devante Adams will be out for blood after their abysmal loss to the Buccaneers last week. Lock it in, big day for Adams. Photo: ESPN
Terry McLaurin- $5800
My love for Scary Terry McLaurin has no ends. He is matchup proof, bad quarterback proof, bad franchise proof, no matter the situation he puts points on fantasy rosters. This week he only has to deal with two of the three as Andy Dalton and the Cowgirls come to town. They have not been able to stop anyone either through the air or on the ground. This game could be another disappointment for Cowboys fans, because Scary Terry will TORCH this Dallas secondary. Even with multiple QB changes, Terry is the WR14 on the year in PPR formats, averaging 15.2 fantasy points per game; he has also had at least 7 targets in every game this season. This bad boy is my lock of the week, my personal chalk of the week and will be in just about every lineup I make. Photo: Getty Images
Keenan Allen/Mike Williams- $6200/$4700
Justin “The Pervert” Herbert (not my nickname) is a certified stud. He loves feeding Keenan Allen, loves bombing the ball deep to Mike Williams. This is a great contrarian stack to the big boys that has some added value with the cheaper QB. This was actually my top stack I looked at when I was first looking at the slate for Week 7. Jacksonville is a bad team, and bad teams can’t play defense. They have given up 2 touchdowns per game which is 24th in the NFL, and 270.7 passing yards per game which is 26th in the NFL. Love the stack to keep it a little different with all of these big name stacks this week.
Ian Thomas- $3000
We are going cheap again at TE this week because I see no great reason to pay up for Kelce even though he murders the Broncos year in and year out. There is just not enough value for me with him. Ian Thomas, similar to Irv Smith last week, has great value for the price.
Travis Kelce- $6300
Travis Kelce is a star. We don’t need to explain much about him as a player, so let me break down how he has played against the Denver Broncos in his career. Kelce has had 72 receptions on 103 targets for 948 yards and 4 touchdowns in 11 games. To break it down without all the fancy stats, he takes the Broncos for a ride with ease. If you can afford the price tag, he should be a must own. Photo: Getty Images
Kyler Murray- $7100
Kyler will light up the Seahawks, it’s not a hot take, everyone knows it and the price reflects it. Seattle has the worst secondary in the league and it doesn’t seem to be close. Lock in the Stud QB for top tier scoring but with the cost of not having another stud WR.
Joe Burrow- $5500
Joe Burrow threw for 61 times last time the Bengals faced the Browns. I don’t think he will throw the ball that many times, but I do love the matchup and will have him in a lot of lineups because I want to have the studs everywhere else. I will be stacking him with Tyler Boyd or Tee Higgins in the flex spot. Right now, I am more favorable to Tyler Boyd, but Tee Higgins has been receiving more targets week after week. Love the value on this one guys.
Matt Ryan- $6700
Matty Ice is warming up and I think he will scorch the earth this week versus the Detroit Lions. Stack him with the studs and have a field day with all the points you will be scoring. Detroit has averaged 22.6 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. Hopefully the Falcons fly again this week to make us loads of cash.
Washington Football Team Defense-$2500
I don’t care if they don’t have a real name, Andy Dalton doesn’t deserve to have a name on the back of his jersey. Solid price for a defense that has been solid and with this being a division rival they could play a little harder to have a chance to win the division with 6 wins.
