Weird how my lineups go off when there are a lower amount of you Degenerates reading it, don’t give up hope after a bad week. I can confirm (not really) that I was the only person who talked about Odell for DFS. On twitter, everyone and their mothers had him in lineups, but not one article or video I saw mentioned his name. That’s the difference you get over here at FFD, I put my money where my mouth/words are. Besides Kamara, we had an excellent week last week. Fun fact, I won a Kicker Special tournament last weekend, if you want kicker advice slide in the DMs and I’ve got you covered. In my home league, I’m known as the kicker whisperer, just saying.
For Week 5, I made lineup after lineup and all I kept seeing is the value plays. All of the Notorious BIG Juicy matchups are value plays this week. It is strange to see, but I have lineups with $2,200 left over, which is unheard of for cash games. I will be attacking some familiar things as the trends start to kick in now that we are a quarter of the way through the season. Along with the trends, come opportunities for bags of cash.
Mike Davis- $6800
CMC is that you? Since Mike Davis has stepped into the starting role, he has 21 receptions for 106 yards. He has 131 yards on 30 carries to add through his usage through the air. This offense is finally starting to come together under Matt Rhuyle, and with this matchup against the Falcons, anything is possible. Davis provides a safe floor at a good price, and my belief is that the Panthers win this game. The offense runs through the RB position for the Panthers no matter the matchup.
James Robinson- $6600
James Robinson was the waiver wire add of the year in season long leagues for a reason. The kid can flat out play football. Robinson is going against the Houston Texans this week, who have given up the 5th most FanDuel fantasy points to running backs. They have also given up a NFL worst 651 rushing yards to RBs. With how James Robinson is playing right now, it will be hard for the Texans to even think about stopping him. He is rushing for an average of 4.8 ypc, and 71.3 ypg. The Jags have also used him in the passing game, as he has recorded 161 yards through the air on 14 receptions. Lock him in for another solid game this week against a dazed and confused Texans run defense. Photo: USA Today
David Johnson- $6400
If Joe Mixon can put up the numbers that he did versus this defense, DJ could get at least half of that production. This is a great way to get a piece of this game, without playing the chalk that goes with it. DJ has been underperforming but with the worst GM/Coach in the NFL getting fired, who knows what this team will look like. I’ll bite on a few shares of DJ for a shot at a great game.
Clyde Edwards Helaire- $7900
My pay up at running back this week, CEH will be the guy I pay the big bucks for. Vegas has given up the most fantasy points to running backs this year, given up the most rushing TDs, and 3rd most receiving yards to running backs this year. CEH has been decently quiet since Week 1, but has played 3 great teams in the last 3 weeks (maybe the Patriots aren’t great). This could be a nice bounce back spot for him to go off. I don’t think this game will be particularly close, sorry Raiders fans, so expect that lovely smelling garbage time fantasy points. Photo: ArrowheadPride.com
Jerick McKinnon- $6400
If Raheem Mostert is out once again in Week 5, McKinnon will receive the bulk of the work in the most valuable backfield in football. He has yet to score under 10 FanDuel points this year. McKinnon also has a touchdown in all four games this year, something not many players have done. This play will rely on Mostert sitting out again this week for me, but if he is game time decision, I will be willing to ride with him in a few lineups.
Will Fuller- $6600
I am instilling too much trust into this Texans offense this week, but I believe it could be a “Fuck You Bill O’Brian” kind of game. With the firing of their abysmal coach/GM Watson could mess around and hang 40 points, or he will continue to be average at best. Will Fuller will be getting the brunt of that work in the receiving game regardless, as he has had two games over 100 yards, and has scored a TD in back to back games. I may be a little biased since I just traded for him in one of my leagues, but you cannot deny his production. As long as Fuller doesn’t run faster than his Hamstrings allow him to, he will always be the WR1 for the Texans.
Robby Anderson- $6200
Here at FFD, we called the Robby Anderson breakout season coming. We were the ones who went out risking our necks on the take of Anderson will outscore DJ Moore. We expected him to know the difference between a bear and their mascot, Sir Purr, but we can't be right about everything. He ranks 3rd in yards per route run, has had at least 5 receptions in every game this year, and has hit the 100 yard mark almost 3 times (had 99 yards last week). It is now clear that he is the number one option for Teddy Bridgewater with 34 targets on the year. The Falcons secondary has given up big plays all year long, and Anderson has had 6 targets of 20 yards or more which ranks in the top 15 for WRs. Robby leads the team in almost every receiving category for the Panthers, lock him in and enjoy my favorite stack of the week. Photo: ESPN
DJ Moore- $6600
We will be running this Panthers team to the bank this week. DJ Moore is another great play to complete the stack for the Panthers. I know I just talked up my boy Robby Anderson, but DJ Moore has been good this year. I can see him breaking one off for his first touchdown of the season against this garbage can of a secondary. He has received 42% of the Panthers air yards, and the Falcons have allowed 21 passing plays for more than 20 yards. Yes, that is a real statistic, and yes, that is by far the worst in the league. Love this stack this week.
Diontae Johnson- $5800
With the Titans not knowing how to follow basic protocols, the Steelers got an earlier bye week than expected. This helped Diontae Johnson fully recover from the concussion he had, and allowed Big Ben to get that arm a rest. Diontae is a star in the making, playing opposite an already proven star in JuJu who creates double teams. Diontae is a great play, especially at this price against a banged up secondary who hasn’t proven they can stop anyone of importance.
CeeDee Lamb- $5900
CeeDee Lamb has been sneaky good all year long, but maybe it is because the Cowboys can’t play the slightest amount of defense. He will be lining up primarily against rookie CB Darnay Holmes, who has given up 13 catches for 149 yards. The Giants have allowed 3 touchdowns to slot receivers this year, which is where CeeDee usually tends to line up. I feel like this is too obvious of a play to not have him in my lineups.
George Kittle- $7100
George Kittle is a man amongst boys on the football field. He is just better than anyone else on the field practically at all times. He has scored 49.4 fantasy points in just two games, which averages out to 20 per game, which is 6 more points than the next best TE. The Dolphins have actually been pretty good versus the TE spot, but don’t mistake that as a reason to avoid playing the best TE in the league. As we have gone through, we haven’t paid top dollar for any position so I can finally afford to play the big man. Photo: San Francisco Chronicle
Evan Engram- $5500
Does this guy suck? My skewed opinion says yes, but when it comes to money, we don’t judge. I will have a few shares of Engram this week with my Daniel Jones stacks, but I will not be cute and try to put him in every lineup. The Cowboys secondary is absolutely horrendous, and ranks 7th worst against the TE position in .5 PPR scoring allowing 60.7 points total. That averages out to 15.2 points per game to the TE spot. If Evan Engram scores your lineup 15.2 points, you will most likely be in the money with that 3x value.
Mo Alie Cox- $5400
The Browns have been terrible against the TE spot this year, allowing 16.4 points in .5 PPR formats. Big Mo Alie Cox is coming off of back to back TD games, and before that, Cox went for 5 receptions for 111 yards. Love the matchup, love the name, love the size (pun intended).
Eric Ebron- $5100
I really cannot believe we are considering 4 tight ends this week. The Eagles are the 3rd worst in the NFL at stopping the TE, allowing 5 touchdowns and a total of 71.4 FanDuel points to the position. Big Body Ebron is an easy target for Big Ben to hit when down in the red zone.
Teddy Bridgewater-$7100
Ah, my QB of the week, Teddy Bridgewater aka Big Ted. He has finally started to get this offense rolling, and no better time than to play the Atlanta Falcons who are an absolute embarrassment of a football team. They have allowed 341.5 passing yards per game which is 2nd worst in the NFL, and 11.3 yards per completion which is 7th worst in the NFL. My stack of the week will be all value.

Deshaun Watson- $7900
Like I said before, feels like a “Fuck You Bill O’Brian” game. We could see Watson ball out and show everyone that this team is good, and it was all BOB’s fault. Sticking him in some of my lineups this week.
Cardinals D- $4100
Play whatever defense plays the Jets, usually it works out just fine.
