Week 9 is dust in the wind, and it was another wild weekend. We capped off Week 9 with Tom Brady looking like that dust we spoke of before, the Cowboys with a chance to beat the undefeated Steelers, and JOSH ALLEN’s return to glory over the Seahawks. Another week, another set of injuries, Covid cases, and breakout stars. This is Waiver Wire Madness.
Curtis Samuel- 30% owned
Curtis Samuel is one of those players that is used all over the field. It looks like CMC could be out again with a shoulder injury, and the Panthers could look to him again to fill the added role that could be missing. Mike Davis is most likely still owned in over 60% of leagues. Could be a great stream option against a reeling Tampa Bay team that just got embarrassed on a National TV Prime Time game. Duke Johnson- 16% owned
With David Johnson entering concussion protocol, Duke is the next man up for the Texans in the backfield. Now this week may not be the best week to play him, as he will be facing off against a stout Browns rushing D but I believe he has low end RB2 upside. He is used in the passing game on the rare occurrence that the Texans target the running back, and will be the lead guy in week 10. That has to count for something right? If you are in a bind for a back to fit into your lineup, he may be your best option.

Jalen Reagor- 24% owned
I scooped this rookie off of waivers two weeks ago in hopes that he will break out. It hasn’t happened quite yet, but the Eagles schedule is filled with potential breakout games for Reagor as they have the Giants, Browns, and the Seahawks coming up. He will be worked into the offense week after week, and is probably the future of the WR core in Philly. With what could be a lost season for the Eagles, they might see what they have in the kid. Drew Lock- 20% owned
I gave you a gift in Drew Lock last week, did you listen? If you didn’t, shame on you. Good news for you is that the Broncos face off against the Raiders in Week 10, which is a less than formidable defense even for the young QB. The Pirates of Sin City have given up 267 yards through the air, which is 6th worst in the NFL. Lock is a more than viable streamer for Week 10.

Irv Smith- 7% owned
It is about time we start taking this young man into consideration for a starter week in and week out. Smith has now logged 3 top 12 fantasy finishes in the last 4 weeks. His snap count is increasing week after week, and is still running the most routes at TE on the Vikings. The downside is that the Vikings do not throw the ball very often, an average of 26 times per game which would be last in the NFL.
