Waiver Wire Madness Week 12

Writer's picture: BillyFFDBillyFFD

First thing's first, I don't really want any of these guys we talk about on my team. Waiver Wire is a bare landscape of below average players at this point in the season, between the injuries, COVID, etc. But everyone needs some sort of player to fill a spot they didn't know/expect to be filling.

Gus Edwards- 29% owned

Gus Edwards will be the only RB worth owning on the Ravens after the news of both JK Dobbins and Mark Ingram headed to the COVID/IR list. He will not be the guy to score you 20+ points especially vs the matchup with the Steelers. Regardless, he will be a starting running back on a run heavy team until further notice. Still will be the number waiver wire option this week as there is not much out there during these trying times.

James White- 40% owned

A Rex Burkhead injury catapults James White into relevance heading into Week 12. I know the rule, “Never trust a Patriots running back”, but with how the landscape of running back is this year, it might be worthy of a pickup. At worst, he will see an added jump in passing targets moving forward. Like the last option, if he won’t see your lineups don’t waste the time.

Giants D- 10% owned

Streaming the Giants D against the Bengals with Burrow was a great option. Now with Burrow to miss the rest of this season and potentially the next season, The Giants D is the top streaming option.

Nelson Agholor- 15% owned

Boy, do the Eagles wish they had this man still. Agholor tallied his season high in targets (nine) and catches (six) in Week 11 while adding his 6th touchdown on the year. It is time to start taking Nelson seriously as a streaming option for a team who is weak at wideout.

Taysom Hill- 42% owned

Such a shame that we didn’t get the Jameis INT fest in Week 11, but we saw the beginning of the Taysom Hill era! If you play in ESPN leagues, I'm specifically talking to you with this one. Taysom Hill is TE eligible still at the time of writing this. A QB in a TE spot when you don’t play in a SuperFlex league is insanely valuable.
