Wild winds through the Midwest in Week 8 ruined phenomenal matchups for fantasy owners, including myself. The Browns v Raiders game was projected to have a total of 54 points in the beginning of the week, it moved down to a total of 46, and the final total for the two teams was 22 points. It was a tough day for all fantasy players besides Patrick Mahomes and Dalvin Cook in Week 8. Hopefully the weather this week is calmer and we can enjoy high scoring games again. As teams who are on bye weeks are taking rests, you need to be prepared, for not just this week but the weeks ahead.
Tim Patrick- 19% owned
Tim Patrick is everyone's favorite streamer they don't know is out there. If you play DFS, you know him well as a cheap option to stick in lineups to have a safe floor. Tim Patrick has had two games over 100 yards in 2020 to date, and if he is a full go on Sunday versus the Falcons, you could see a third game with the big Hundo. Fantasy owners just need to keep an eye on his health headed into Week 9, as he will be trying to return from that pesky Hamstring injury. Photo: Sporting News
Corey Davis- 37% owned
Yuck. I hate Corey Davis but he has been good this year… yea I said it. He has had back to back games with 10 targets, and has had at least 11 fantasy points in the last five games. That's not very Corey Davis of him. He is probably farther down on the list of available WRs because he is projected lower because of how historically lame he has played, Projected 7.9 fantasy points in Week 9 vs the Bears. I wouldn’t plug and play him this week but i think, and cannot believe I am going to say this, he is a must own at this point in the season. Photo: Nashville Post
Damien Harris- 31% owned
Why the Patriots use any other running back is beyond me, Harris is clearly the best back in the running back room. He has rushed for at least 5.8 ypc in every game but one which was against Denver, a top 3 run defense. Harris has two games with over 100 yards on 17 and 16 touches this year. This is a waiver wire option that if you are in a Standard Scoring league, should be your top option for some depth at RB. Photo: Getty Images
Eric Ebron- 45% owned
Eric Ebron is a great low risk TE moving forward in fantasy football this season. He has slowly worked his way into the offense for the Steelers. Ebron has had at least 4 receptions in 6 straight games, and I expect that opportunity to continue. He has not been the red zone threat that we know him to be, and you can chalk that up to all of the different options that the Steelers have on the offense. I own shares of him in multiple leagues as a safe floor TE. Photo: ESPN
Drew Lock- 10% owned
Drew Lock is my streaming QB of the week, and I know what you are thinking, he has never thrown for over 300 yards in his NFL career. This could be the week that changes that. Don’t let Thursday night fool you, the Falcons are a bad defense that just had a good game in a let down spot for their opponent. Atlanta has given up an average of 311 passing yards per game this season which ranks 31st out of 32 teams. If you are one of those streaming guys, this would be your QB for Week 9. Photo: Heavy.com
