Week 4 Gimme One- Props and Parlay

Writer's picture: Morgan WatkinsMorgan Watkins

While Week 4 promises to give us some titillating matchups on the field, if you’re a Degenerate like myself you can not help but look at the player props and get in on a little parlay action. The numbers being thrown out this week are just dripping with sweet paper for the taking.

Austin Ekeler OVER 35.5 receiving yards against the New England, I mean Tampa Bay Buccaneers

-With a rookie QB under center, Ekeler is going to be the focal point of the offense averaging 47.33 yards receiving per game while Tampa is giving up an average of 237.7 yards through the air per game.

Teddy Bridgewater UNDER 275.5 passing yards against the Arizona “Show me the Money” Cardinals

-While Arizona is giving up 224.7 passing yards per game, Carolina isn’t as much of a threat with a struggling DJ Moore and a down but not out Christian McCaffrey (you can’t be out for long when you’re coming home to Olivia Culpo...am I right Danny Amendola).

Cooper Kupp OVER 60.5 receiving yards against the New York Football Giants

-Let’s be real for a second...the Giants Stink with a capital S. While their passing defense is giving up only 234.7 yards per game, you can expect most of the coverage to go to Tyler Higbee and Robert Woods leaving Cooper my favorite Kupp open for easy yards.

Nick Mullens OVER 1.5 touchdown passes against my Philadelphia (is a bad place) Eagles

-With all the injuries the Eagles have had, they soon will need to put tape on each of the players helmet to introduce who each new member of the team is. Mullens has the distinction of being 1 of 2 QB’s with over 2600 yards and 14 tudders in their first 9 career starts. The other QB…none other than Patrick Mahomes.

Miles Sanders OVER 63.5 rushing yards AND OVER 30.5 receiving yards against the walking wounded San Francisco 49ers

-This is more of a hunch than anything statistically based but the entire Eagles offense is hurt and someone needs to move the ball. Sanders is the guy in the Eagles offense and with Wentz struggling, expect a heavy dose of Miles.

Lamar Jackson OVER 215.5 passing yards and OVER 1.5 touchdown passes against the team from Washington with no name.

-Baltimore got exposed as FRAUDS last week big time. That being said, we’ve seen Big Truss feast on some crummy defense en route to a MVP last season. Washington doesn’t have Daniel Bateman out there patrolling the second level to cover a certain tight end we’ll talk about in a moment.

Mark Andrew’s OVER 46.5 receiving yards against the team that should be renamed the Washington Sentinels

-We saw an elite tight end in Dallas Goedert feast on Washington in Week 1 and expect more of the same for a defense giving up an average of 49 yards per game to tight ends this year.

And our player prop of the week…

Josh Allen OVER 1.5 touchdown passes against the not Oakland Raiders

-If you read our picks of the week post, you’ll know that I am high in the Bills and the Josh Allen MVP tour is in full swing. The Raiders stink, plain and simple. They are giving up 11.4 yards per completion as well as a 65% completion percentage. I won’t say Josh Allen will go for 4 through the air again but I also won’t say that he won’t.

If you’re reading this, you’ve most likely watched Uncut Gems and when Howard hit the Celtics/Sixers parlay, you couldn’t help to feel a rush of blood to certain body parts. So on that note, my “I made a crazy risk, a gamble, and it’s about to pay off.” parlay of the week:

-Bills -3.5 against the Raiders

-Ravens OVER 45.5 against the team formerly known as the Washington Redskins

-Saints -3 against the Lions
