Week 5 Gimme One

Week 4 is in the books and now we look forward to week 5. Not feeling some of the spreads this week? This week's slate of games feature some enticing player prop bets as well which, if gambled on correctly and responsibly can add a nice amount of units to your accounts.

(All picks are based off of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Carson Wentz OVER 14.5 rushing yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers

-Over the past two weeks, the Eagles offense has become a little more competent when they have moved Carson out of the pocket and allowed him to use his surprisingly good athleticism for a guy 6’4” and 240 plus pounds. During that time, Carson has rushed for an average of 51 yards per game while scoring touchdowns in each. The Pittsburgh D has racked up 15 sacks in three games so expect Carson to be on the move, or the run a good bit.

Russell Wilson OVER 2.5 touchdown passes against the Minnesota Vikings

-If you read our picks of the week of the week column, you would have seen that the Seahawks are our Lock of the Week against Minnesota. Seattle is currently scoring the pace of 35.5 points per game while Wilson’s touchdown pass pace puts him in line for a historic season. Minnesota’s defense has a bigger hole in the secondary than the Titanic did, allowing 298.1 passing yards per game as well as 12.4 yards per completion.

Hunter Renfrow OVER 36.5 receiving yards against the Kansas City Chiefs

-Is Renfrow the second coming of Wes Welker? I doubt it, but he and Derek (not David) Carr have developed a nice rapport the past couple leading to a combined 131 receiving yards against two pretty solid defenses (Buffalo, New England). Expect the Andy Reed led Chefs to focus the defense on Darren Waller and Josh Jacobs leaving some nice cushions for Renfrow to cook.

Matt Ryan OVER 1.5 touchdown passes against the Carolina Panthers

-Atlanta isn't very good and this very well could be Dan Quinn’s last game coaching in A-Town so I am expecting every last gasp to be let out in order to keep his job. One thing the Dirty Birds do have that has worked for them is a strong passing game. With Julio Jones out look for that other Alabama receiver to have a nice day as well as the middle of the field opening up for Hayden Hurst.

Dak Prescott OVER 2.5 touchdown passes against the New York Giants

-The Cowboys got embarrassed last week at home against Cleveland but during their attempts at a comeback, you saw Dak put up some monster numbers in garbage time. Now I do not expect the Cowboys to be trailing much or at all against the Giants (I did feel the same last week though and that turned out great), but with three strong receivers, I expect Dak to continue to throw the ball towards the endzone against a defense that is allowing 24 points per game but has given up more so to more competent offenses.

YTD Prop Bet Record: 6-4
