Week 1 is over, and it was an emotional day for me. I won some, I lost some. I witnessed a rookie drop 4 units of my hard earned money (I hate you D’andre Swift), I saw Austin Ekeler catch ONE damn pass. I watched former Patriots great Stephen Gostkowski miss not one, not two, not three but FOUR kicks. I watched my main fantasy team lose by less than half of a point. On the bright side, I saw a lot of my DFS picks hit big. Russell Wilson, DK Metcalf, Calvin Ridley, Josh Jacobs all had great games for me. On the flip side, MT got hurt, Marlon Mack tore an ACL in the first half, and my knight in shining armor Hayden Hurst was a dud. I was positive on the week in DFS and that’s all that truly matters at the end of the day.
This week, I am writing to you in a rush as the Degenerates crew are off to celebrate our number one fan The Notorious Buschwaka's bachelor party. The picks I give you may seem rushed, but I promise you they are well thought out, just not explained as thorough as I’d like due to time constraints. I will give you two bonus lineups to make it up to you filled with all different players that I didn’t get the time to go into detail about. This week we have studs left and right, top to bottom since the values still aren’t caught up to the talent or match ups. We are attacking the Dallas v Atlanta game, along with running back the top stack of last week because “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” I didn’t see many running backs I loved this week so I kept it simple.
Zeke - $8600

Running back is a messy spot this week but one thing is for certain, Zeke eats. Atlanta will lose this game and Zeke will get all the touches he wants by the 2nd half. Dak will light up the secondary in the first half and will leave Zeke with all the food he wants to eat in the 2nd half. We don’t need to go into detail about the stats that Zeke puts up every week, he's a top 3 draft pick in fantasy for a reason. He is the best running back on the board that I am willing to pay up for this week.
Raheem Mostert - $6500
The Jets last week did a good job against Buffalo on the ground, but the 49ers run game is a different animal. They have multiple running backs that will come at the defense from all angles. I expect the Jets to continue being the Jets, therefore Mostert should get plenty of garbage time work. If you prefer DraftKings, I would plug Jerick McKinnon into this spot. The 49ers have injuries all over the place in the passing game (Deebo, Kittle, Aiyuk) so there will be plenty of targets to go around for the running backs. McKinnon is the better pass catcher, but Mostert is by far the better rusher. Both could be solid plays this week.
Nyheim Hines - $5500

Dare I say Austin Ekeler 2.0? Too late, I already said it and it can't be taken back. Philip Rivers has trouble throwing the ball to anyone that doesn’t play running back or in the slot (we will come back to that later). In Week 1, Hines caught all 8 targets for 45 yards along with two TDs, one through the air and one on the ground. The Colts should be down in this game, so expect that trusty Rivers check down time after time. I believe he has great value especially in DraftKings but I will take the flyer on him this week in a few lineups.
Devante Adams - $8600

What are the chances that Devante Adams repeats last week's performance? I’d say pretty damn good as he goes against that garbage Lions secondary that let MITCH TRUBISKY throw 3 TDs on them. He is Aaron Rodgers favorite target and if the first game is any indication of how the season will go, Aaron Rodgers wants to prove that front office he is still the guy. Adams walked out of Week 1 with 14 receptions for 156 yards and 2 TDs on 17 targets. The volume will be there again this week since they still don’t have a true WR2 on the team.
Calvin Ridley - $7100
We are running it back with Calvin Ridley this week because we want every part of this Falcons and Cowboys matchup. Ridley seems to be the touchdown guy, and Matt Ryan seems to love throwing the ball, coming off of a 450 yard game. If my calculations are correct, the Falcons will be playing from behind as per usual, so Ridley could be in for another big week. He came out of last week with 9 receptions for 130 yards and 2TDs on 12 targets. This game will be high scoring, and Matt Ryan wants to throw the ball every chance he gets. I think this is a great way to get a piece of this game but on the other side.
Michael Gallup - $6000
Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, even CeeDee Lamb can all be great options against this terrible Atlanta secondary. When I saw this match up I knew I wanted every piece of the Cowboys offense this week. Amari was added to the injury report with a foot injury so if he sits Gallup is a must play. The Cowboys view Cooper and Gallup both as WR1’s. If Cooper does play, I’d be wary of how much you are relying on him as he could be used as a decoy. Gallup will be my pick as the top WR for this match up on Sunday.
Parris Campbell - $5300

There is this little feeling at the bottom of my stomach when it comes to Parris Campbell. I believe he will finish the season as the top wide out for Indy. Is this a bold take? Probably. Would it shock me? Nope. One thing we know for certain, Philip Rivers loves throwing the ball to the slot, he targeted Campbell 9 times for 6 catches and 71 yards. For the first game with Rivers, I’d call that a good connection especially since they did not have any preseason games to work together. The Vikings have a young secondary and were just lit up by one receiver, the Colts have more than one to worry about.
Jonnu Smith - $4900
Jonnu Smith is a versatile player for the Titans. He is used not only at Tight End, but also in the backfield since the Titans have no true passing down back. With AJ Brown out this week, Jonnu could see an uptick in targets along with my tournament play Corey Davis (still think he sucks). Jonnu is a great option especially if you aren’t a fan of paying up for Tight End.
Mark Andrews - $7500
Lamar Jackson’s favorite target is the Tight End I would be willing to pay up for this week. Last week, Andrews caught 5 passes for 58 yards and 2 TDs on 6 targets. Outside of JJ Watt, the Houston defense is not all that talented, and will be worried about Lamar’s rushing ability. I see Andrews getting more work than he did last week, and hopefully he finds the endzone again this week.
Aaron Rodgers - $7900

Stacking Rodgers with Adams seems like it worked well last week, and will work again this week. It is a contrarian pick away from the Cowboys v Falcons that I am attacking so often this week.
Dak Prescott - $8300
Dak will most likely finish Week 2 as the number one QB in scoring. The Atlanta secondary is bottom of the bottom this year. I can’t imagine any scenario where Dak doesn’t light up this defense.
Josh Allen - $8200
Copyright: AP Images
Josh Allen threw the ball for over 300 yards for the first time in his career, and it looks as if my sleeper pick for MVP and the Bills offense could produce two fantasy relevant WRs this season. He has a more than favorable match up against Miami, and you love getting those extra points for his ability to run the ball.
Rams Defense - $4500
Aaron Donald will get a hundred sacks against this terrible Eagles OLine. Philly gave up 8 sacks to a young Defense in Washington. I don’t see a way that anyone on that line can stop Donald. I honestly have more money than I am used to having left over after a lineup, so I am rolling with a more expensive Defense than usual.
Best of luck this week in all of your fantasy endeavors this weekend. I will be extremely drunk, probably answering many of your questions on Instagram and Twitter. Stay out of my cash games and lets win some money!
