Road to the Brinks Trucks - DFS Week 4

Writer's picture: BillyFFDBillyFFD

After a nice week off to reset my mind, I am back to give all some top tier DFS plays. I would like to mention, if you are just plugging the lineup in and then getting mad if it doesn’t hit, you are going about this the wrong way. My job is not to set your lineups for you, it is to give you the information that you need to make an educated choice! DFS is about quantity as much as it is about quality of lineups. I play many different variations of the lineups I give out while keeping the core players. I urge people to read the article, absorb the information I give out. Never blindly tail anyone, be a leader and not a follower!

Week 4 is here already and it has been a crazy season to say the least. Looking into this week, I will be attacking the Bills Offense, Panthers-Dallas game, and oddly enough the Jets-Titans matchup. I will also own shares of some of the lesser played matchups for some added value! I will also be switching it up and giving out DraftKing prices, because lets face it, full PPR is more fun. Lets get into the Week 4 action already!

Josh Allen - $8000

JOSH ALLEN IS BACK. The Josh Allen regression crowd has been real quiet the past few weeks. Bills started the season with a tough schedule, but it seemed like everyone wrote him off too soon. If you are an avid NFL fan you might remember that the Texans knocked the Bills out of the playoffs two years ago in an Overtime upset. Josh will be out for revenge, that’s a fact, Jack. Allen threw for 358 yards and 4 TDs and ran a TD as well. What we have truly been missing from Allen has been the rushing yards, only accumulating 88 yards through the first 3 weeks of the season. The rushing yards will come in time, but he is finally hitting his receivers with accuracy which becomes a dangerous thing for an opposing defense. Texans have been middle of the pack versus the pass, allowing 269 ypg but I think McDermott and Josh Allen expose them. Josh Allen is my #1 QB this week and I feel very strongly about it

Sam Darnold - $6000

Everyone’s favorite former Jet makes the list this week, and might very well be the chalk QB of the week. Dallas’ secondary is hot garbage, CMC will not be there to bail out Sammy Smooches, and the Cowboys are coming off a big win on Monday night. I believe that Darnold will continue to put up big numbers this week and it seems like most of the fantasy community agrees with me. Darnold is finding his playmakers at a 68% completion rate, thrown for 888 yards and thrown for 3 TDs, while rushing another 3 TDs into the endzone. I talk about it all the time on the podcast, it’s called the Adam Gase Effect. Players that leave the glare of Gase, always ball out the following year. Sam Darnold looks for real, and could start becoming an every week kind of play pretty soon.

Stefon Diggs - $7600

Diggs will finally have himself a massive week against the Texans. Period. We all know how good he is and we already talked about Josh Allen, so what else do you need to know? Diggs has yet to break out this season for a big game. The targets have been there for Stefon but the receptions have not. The reigning reception leader from last year will find a way to get back on track, and nothing quite like a revenge game to get it done. Talent supersedes numbers sometimes and this is a play based strictly on talent and gut instinct.

DJ Moore - $6600

Any matchup that has the Dallas secondary will wind up being the chalk play of the week. DJ Moore is Sammy Smooches favorite target, as his former teammate Robby Anderson reminds him too much of that bum Adam Gase. Through 3 games, Moore has seen 31 targets and caught 22 of them for 285 yards and 1 TD. Dallas has given up 11.3 yards per completion, and 331 yards per game which is 2nd worst in the NFL. If you are playing the chalk in Sam Darnold, you have to add Moore in your lineups.

Courtland Sutton - $5700

If the Broncos are for real, and they expect to beat the Ravens or even compete, they will need to throw the ball. Courtland Sutton is the WR1 for the Broncos and after injuries to both Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler, there aren’t many options left for Teddy Two Gloves. This seems like it could be the perfect bounceback game for Sutton. The Broncos passing offense hasn’t had to do much in order to win games, I think it changes this week. Courtland Sutton has had up and down weeks after a return from a torn ACL, only having one good fantasy week of 27.9 points. Baltimore has given up 314 yards per game through the air which is 3rd worst in the NFL and have allowed 11.8 yards per completion. Riding with Sutton in a bounceback spot this week.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine - $3200

Ryan Tannehill will have to throw the ball to some wideout with no AJ Brown or Julio right? I believe that it will be Westbrook-Ikhine this week against the Jets. The price is worth the risk especially with the soft matchup. Add in the injury to Marcus Maye, the Jets top CB, and this could be a week winner for DFS and for season long! Last week, he saw and caught all 4 targets for 53 yards and found the end zone. He also saw two of those targets inside of the red zone, which is usually Derrick Henry territory. Westbrook-Ikhine was on the field for 78% of snaps which led the WR room last week. Can’t beat a possible WR1 for a team facing off against the Jets at this price.

Corey Davis - $5000

If the Jets are to have any chance of moving the ball they will need to go back to feeding Corey Davis. Now you may be saying, why would I want to own any Jets players with how bad the offense has looked? Revenge Game. The Titans let Davis walk this offseason and brought in Julio to replace him. Corey Davis will be playing angry, the only question will be whether Zach Wilson can show up against this bad Titans D who have given up 259.3 yards per game through the air. The Titans have also given up 7.8 yards per passing play which ranks 25th in the NFL. If the Jets stand any chance at being competitive they need to get the ball into their best playmakers hands in this one.

Chuba Hubbard - $5900

Imagine getting 80%-90% of the CMC workload for half the price. Would that be something you might be interested in? Yes sir, I will take all the shares of Chuba Hubbard in Week 4. Last week, Hubbard started real slow after the CMC injury, but then turned it up in the 4th quarter. Now Matt Rhule has a whole week to get the offense ready for Chubba Hubbard to dominate. The Cowboys defense has allowed 4.7 yards per carry, but has only allowed 70.3 yards per game on the ground. This stat is misleading, as most teams have to throw the ball constantly to keep up with the Cowboys high powered offense. The RB is the most important feature in the Panthers offense, and even with CMC out, that doesn’t change. Everyone remembers Mike Davis last year right?

Derrick Henry - $8800

With Both AJ Brown as well as Julio Jones out vs the Jets, King Henry should take on a massive workload at least in the first 3 quarters in this matchup. I will put this as a lower end play because I do think that Jeremy McNichols could get all the work in the 4th quarter as the Titans should be blowing the Jets out if they are half as good as the rest of the NFL. The Jets allow 110 yards per game on the ground and only 3.8 yards per carry, but Henry averages 117.6 yards per game by himself! If you want a possible 40 point game, put him in your lineup, but beware that the Titans might pull him in the 4th as they have done many times before.

David Montgomery - $5800

Bears stink. Matt Nagy stinks and is probably out of a job as soon as the bye week for the Bears. If he has any brains in that big head of his, he would just run the ball down the throats of the Detroit Lions in this matchup. Matt Nagy will have to go out and prove to the front office why he shouldn’t be fired as of last week and the only way to have a chance at that will be to run the ball 25 times. I also think that Montgomery won’t be highly owned because of public perception of how bad the Bears are. When he is featured, he is a monster in lineups but when Matt Nagy tries to think, it ends badly. Detroit has allowed 114 yards per game on the ground which is middle of the pack. Montgomery has been on the field for 130 out of 179 snaps played on offense. Throw him in as a nice fade to Henry for the low ownership.

Dawson Knox - $3600

Dawson Knox learned how to catch a football! I am a firm believer that Josh Allen is back in full swing along with the offense, which means everyone eats. Knox made an insane catch in the endzone last weekend, but more importantly he is averaging 4 targets a game with an average of 10.7 yards per reception. We talked before about how it could be a Josh Allen revenge game already, so a big body target in the red zone is exactly what Josh wants to see.

Logan Thomas - $4900

Logan Thomas vs the Falcons secondary is a matchup I love for the TE position. Falcons may very well be the worst team in the NFL this season. Falcons have given up just under 11 fantasy points per game to the TE position this year. Plug him in, as I want to have ownership vs this bad secondary.

Terry McLaurin - $6900

Calvin Ridley - $7000

Brandon Aiyuk - $5000

Cole Beasley - $5400

Chester Rogers - $3300
