Welcome back you degenerates to my weekly DFS article! This is my favorite content to write, so I hope you enjoy it, and hopefully we can all make a little money! Week in and week out I will be here giving out what I think are the best plays of the week! I try to focus more on cash games as opposed to Tourneys, but if I see value for a player in tournament format I will be the first person to let you know! Just because I don’t write a big description about a certain player and decide to throw them in the Honorable Mentions, it does not necessarily mean that I am not as high on them. There is only so many hours in the day, and unfortunately I can’t give you guys full breakdowns of every player on the slate. Without further adieu, let's make some money!

Baker Mayfield- $7100
When it comes to the QB position, you need a player who has the shootout upside for their matchup. This is exactly what you get with Baker Mayfield this week going into Kansas City. We all know that the Half Billion Dollar man will be able to hang big points up on any team, thats a fact jack. On the other side of the ball, Baker will need to push the ball down the field. Baker really took a step forward last season, doing a better job with his turnover ratio and his decision making. At the discount you can get Baker for, it is worth the contrarian play for QB especially for Week 1.
Matt Ryan- $7300
Matt Ryan might have the easiest matchup for Week 1 with his game vs the Eagles. Matty Ice and the Falcons added a big weapon in Kyle Pitts. The Eagles gave up an average of 237 yards per game through the air, but gave up the 4th most fantasy points to TE position and 7th most fantasy points to the WR position. This game could also be a shootout because neither team can stop anyone on the defensive side of the ball through the air. Matty Ice could be a nice little play if you want to avoid the big name guys, and still have high upside.
James Robinson- $5900
If Urban Meyer was half of a coach, he would just run the ball with James Robinson 25-30 and win this game with ease. The Houston Texans were dead last against the run last season, averaging 160.2 yards allowed per game, 1.4 TDs on the ground, and 5.2 yards per attempt. If Urban tries to throw the ball 40 times, he should be known as Adam Gase for the rest of the year.

Najee Harris- $6500
This might be a homer pick, but Najee will eat Week 1 vs the Bills. Last season, Buffalo Allowed 4.7 yards per carry, which was 5th worst in the NFL, while allowing an average of 6.2 receptions per game to the running back position. This Steelers offense is loaded top to bottom with talent, but the key to the game will be how well does the OLine hold up. Mike Tomlin loves having a true workhorse running back and that's exactly why he drafted Harris in the 1st round.
Dalvin Cook- $9400
Year in and year out for the past 3-4 seasons, the Bengals have had a bottom five defense against the rush. This year is no other, and with stud Dalvin Cook facing off against Cincy, I can’t help but own shares of him. Alexander Mattison being questionable makes me like his price even better as he will most likely take almost all the snaps. Without a real reliable backup, Dalvin Cook could eat more than my Co-Host at the chinese buffet.
Tyreek Hill- $8500
The fastest man on the planet is back with a healthy Patrick Mahomes for 2021. Tyreek was actually used more as a possession receiver as well as being the deep threat option everyone knows him to be. The Browns gave up the 6th most fantasy points to the WR position, and let's be honest for a hot second, there are ZERO people that can cover Tyreek in this league. He is my top high price WR this week and I have no regrets. It is a great way to get extra exposure to this shootout matchup without having to pay the price for Mahomes.

Calvin Ridley- $8100
Ridley might possibly be the WR I will be riding all year long at any price. The Falcons will be playing from behind every single week, and he is the unquestioned WR1 in Atlanta. He has quickly become a top 5 WR in the NFL with no signs of slowing down. Last season, Ridley had 90 receptions for 1374 yards and 9 TDs on 143 targets last year. This stat line wasn’t a fluke, he really is that level of talent. He will be matched up against Darius Slay, who is a great CB, but loves getting burnt by better competition. I feel good playing Ridley in this one based on volume alone. If you want to get a piece of the offense without paying the high price of Ridley, Russell Gage is real cheap and could pull a good game against this bad secondary.
OBJ- $6500
I am slowly becoming an OBJ believer from the 2021 season, especially in Week 1 against the Chiefs. If you believe in Baker as a great option like I do, you will want to stack him with his best option out wide and that is OBJ. He has been fighting injury this week but I think that was just to be safe with a massive game coming up for the Browns that could determine the energy for the rest of the season!
Marquez Calloway- $5200
I will be under the assumption that he will be quite highly owned due to his price and being the only receiver most of the public knows anything about on the Saints roster. There will always be value for being Jameis Winstons WR1 no matter what team he is on or who he is playing. This is more of a boom/bust play for Week 1.
Kyle Pitts- $6000
I am a MASSIVE Kyle Pitts believer, and this could be the cheapest exposure you can get him for the rest of the season, especially with a matchup this juicy. I already spoke about how bad Philly was vs the TE position, being the 4th worst to the position. Add in the fact that Kyle Pitts is not your normal TE, he is big, strong, fast, otherworldly athletic, not to mention can run routes like a WR. LOVE Pitts for Week 1 as my TE. Great option if you do not want to pay top dollar for Kelce or Kittle right out of the gate in Week 1.
George Kittle- $7000
George Kittle is the top receiving option for the 49ers who are going against the bottom dweller Detroit Lions. Early on in the game, the 49ers will look to move the ball up and down the field to prove to fans that having Jimmy G as the starter was the right choice. Kittle could rack up the points early and often in Week 1 as the Lions gave up the 2nd most yards through the air last season. They also gave up 9 TDs to TEs last season, and Kittle is always available in the Red Zone.
