Stacking Wins On Top Of Wins - DFS Week 6

Writer's picture: BillyFFDBillyFFD

I am back in full swing after a slow start to the NFL season. I am seeing the slate clearly, picking the spots correctly, and rolling away with the Brinks trucks filled with cash. Last week, the top lineup I gave out scored 185 points which isn't bad considering our RB2 only had 3.4 points for us. Obviously if you were to tweak it so you could fit Mattison in there after Dalvin Cook was announced out, you had an even better day! Obviously if you tailed the Giants stack last week, you had a bad time, as Daniel Jones and Barkley left the game quite early with injuries. We are looking to keep the good times rolling this week with some solid value at RB and TE and load up on WR and QB this week!

Patrick Mahomes - $8300

The Half Billion Dollar man will be looking to bounce back after getting embarrassed by the Bills last weekend. This will be the Chalk Play of the Week, but I wouldn’t be any good at my job if I didn’t at least bring him up quickly. The Chiefs head into Washington in Week 6 and face off against a Defense that has let up 293 passing yards per game, and just under 3 passing TDs per game. This WFT defense has not been what everyone thought it would be this season, especially the pass rush who have seemed completely incapable of getting pressure on the QB.

Taylor Heinicke - $5800

Call me Captain Contrarian. Everyone and their mother will be playing Patrick Mahomes this week, but I will be taking the value play on the opposite side of that game while everyone spends up for 10 more points. The KC secondary is even worse than the WFT this season, and may be the all around worst defense in the NFL. Chiefs are off to a horrendous start, allowing just under 300 passing yards per game, allowing a 68% completion percentage to QBs, and have given up 30.8 fantasy points to opposing QBs. Give me the cheap option in this matchup and we will be running it back with a Tyreek Hill or Kelce.

Justin Herbert - $7300

Justin Herbert is a top 5 QB in the NFL as we speak, and as someone who was high on him while everyone else was saying Tua is the best QB in the draft class, I TOLD YOU SO! It helps that Herbert has weapons like Kennan Allen, Austin Ekeler, Mike Williams and Jared Cook to boost his fantasy value. Herbert is currently 4th in passing yards, 4th in passing TDs, and is currently the 6th ranked QB in fantasy football. The Chargers head into Baltimore, who have been distraught on the defensive side of the ball with injuries. The secondary has given up the 3rd most passing yards in the NFL this year with 296 ypg. Herbert is currently averaging 315.2 per game, give me Herbert against this Ravens defense that has struggled to stay off the field.

Derek Carr - $5600

This is a tournament play and a small one at that. I happen to be a gambling man, and one advantage I always look at is what happens after a coach is fired, usually the team plays with energy they have never shown before. Now, we all know what happened to Gruden, but let’s be real, he was fired. Even before this, Derek Carr was 2nd in the NFL in passing yards so it is safe to say he has an opportunity to ball out, and to put the crap that has landed on the Raiders behind them. Denver got exposed by Big Ben and the Steelers last week for 253 passing yards, maybe this Denver D is not as good as everyone thought they were.

Tyreek Hill - $8500

You can’t have a Mahomes play and not also play Tyreek Hill, right? Right. The Cheetah is going to be behind this WFT secondary more often than not which will make for some massive plays for the Mahomes stack. WFT has been giving up an average of 27.4 fantasy points to WRs, and have given up the 4th most yards to wide outs this season. Hill has been on and off this season, as teams are starting to figure out how to contain this high powered Chiefs offense, but this secondary will not be able to slow down this team. If you are willing to pay up for the chalk, do it.

Davante Adams - $9000

Davante Adams is a Bear hunter during the NFL season. He has 67 receptions for 814 yards and 8 TDs in his career versus the Chicago Bears. The Rodgers-Adams connection is always at play every single week, if they are on the field together, there's a solid chance they have a great week. Aaron Rodgers has a record of 20-5 against the Bears. Chicago has given up an average of 25.4 fantasy points to wide outs this year, and if anyone can put those points up against the Bears it is going to be the former Fresno Bulldog, Davante Adams.

Terry McLaurin - $7100

As of Friday night, Scary Terry is currently questionable for the Week 6 matchup against the AFC Champion Chiefs. If he does play he will be one of my favorite stack to play for the week. You get the cheap QB, the stud WR, one of the cheapest TEs, and if you are really feeling frisky, the pass catching back in McKissic. The Chiefs defense has been terrible like we spoke about before, giving up 26.4 fantasy points to WRs this year. This all depends on the health of Terry, so if he is 100% we will be all over it.

Mike Williams - $8100

Once again, I TOLD YOU SO! Mike Williams, when healthy, is one of the best weapons in the NFL. It helps when you don’t have to rely on Philip Rivers trying to force the ball to you, instead, Herbert just places the ball into your lap. If you had reservations about Herbert, it's time to give those up. Williams is currently the WR2 overall in fantasy this season, he is 5th in targets with 51 and averaging 10 per game. With a player with his speed and leaping ability, it is only natural that he continues to produce at a high level. The injury ridden Ravens secondary will not be able to keep up with this high powered offense. The whole Chargers offense will be at play this week. One thing to note is that Williams could be a GTD, so keep an eye on the injury report come Sunday morning.

Desean Jackson - $3700

DeSean Jackson loves nothing more than playing football in the Meadowlands, especially when it’s against the Giants. In 19 career games vs the Giants Jackson has 72 receptions for 1,143 yards and 9 TDs. The Giants really should be renamed DeSeans Sons, but that's not important. What is important is the Rams offense will look to bounce back after some average back to back weeks. At this price you can get one of those classic DeSean Jackson 70 yard TDs and he will hit his value on one play.

JD McKissic - $4800

Here me out, as an Antonio Gibson owner in season long it pains me to write this, but JD McKissic is the play this week. He has clearly carved out a role as the pass catching back in this offense no matter what Riverboat Ron has said during the preseason. Through 5 games, McKissic has averaged just under 4 targets a game, he has been used out wide more often than not. If WFT wants to have any chance of staying in this game with the Chiefs, they will need to use their playmakers out wide. Chiefs are giving up 5.8 receptions per game to running backs, while everyone will be playing Antonio Gibson I will be rolling out the other back in the room.

Darrel Williams - $4900

This play is ugly, it's nasty, it's everything you don’t want, which is exactly why you need to add him to your lineups. With no CEH in the lineup for the foreseeable future, Darrel Williams will be a cheap option to add to lineups at RB. The Chiefs don’t run the ball all that much but if they get up on teams, unlike they have been able to do most of the year, they do give the ball off to the RB. This is one of those situations where the Chiefs could jump out to a big lead and they try to run the clock out in garbage time. Cheap options at RB will be vital this week as there are not many studs at the position.

Austin Ekeler - $7900

One of two studs that will see my lineups this week is Austin Ekeler. Pound for Pound the strongest player in the NFL has been electric to watch this season. He is a top option this week at RB but I think he will be the highest owned player this week outside of maybe Mahomes. Ekeler is one of only 5 RBs who average at least 5 targets a game and in the first game for the Chargers, he didn’t see a single target. He is averaging 23.9 fantasy points per game, which makes him the RB2 in all of fantasy football. Ekeler is a stud that will be owned by all the casuals, so might as well keep up with the chalk plays and find value elsewhere.

Ricky Seals Jones - $3000

If Scary Terry does not play this week, Ricky Seals Jones could easily see double digit targets against the Chiefs. At the price of $3000, there really isn’t a better value play at TE than Seals Jones this week. Tight Ends can win you weeks and lose you weeks i.e Dawson Knox. Last week, after getting the full time job after Logan Thomas went down, he saw 8 targets against the Saints. I believe the WFT will be playing catchup against the Chiefs, which will create plenty of opportunities for RSJ to be peppered with targets. Give me the volume at a minimal cost at TE this week.
