Week 2 is in the past, injury bugs are everywhere, and we are finally getting some reliable information about teams and finding some trends. The season is flying by right before our eyes and you might already need RB help or your QB has gotten hurt. Maybe your defense you drafted isn't as good as advertised! Regardless of your issues, here at FFD we have you covered every week on our best waiver wire options.
KJ Osborn- 9% owned
I was hesitant to put him in last week's article despite my Co-Host Mike saying he was the one to pick up. I regret this decision, you always want to be a week early instead of a week late. KJ Osborne has 12 receptions 167 yards and a TD through the first two weeks. Osborn has been on the field for 81% of passing plays which for the Vikings is enough to be worthy of a fantasy roster spot. The Vikings D is really tough to watch, and will keep the offense throwing the ball more than they would like to. I do believe that there will be weeks that he has a goose egg, but if the Vikings keep throwing the ball like they have been, us as fantasy owners have no choice but to own him.
Cordarrelle Patterson- 16% owned
RIP to Mike Davis. Davis has struggled to show he can handle any sort of workload for the Falcons and Patterson is a much more versatile player than Davis. He is a great pass catching option out of the backfield, and showed it off versus Tampa Bay. He only had 11 yards rushing in Week 2 but that is to be expected vs the tough D they bring every week.
Quez Watkins- 5% owned
Need a boom or bust guy for Week 3? Quez Watkins could be the answer you are looking for. Eagles head down south into Jerry World to face off against the Cowboys against that Swiss Cheese Secondary. Last week, Dallas didn’t let up any massive plays, but the refs were working for Jerry Jones and wouldn’t let the Chargers gain any momentum. Quez only had 2 catches last week, one of them being a 91 yard TD pass. This is a play for someone who may need to risk it for the biscuit this week.
Tony Pollard- 61% owned
It is official, Tony Pollard is a better option than Zeke, Even after the increased workload for Zeke, Tony Pollard outscored him by 7 fantasy points in Week 2. Pollard rushed for 109 yards on 13 carries and found the end zone. Add in the 3 catches for 31 yards on designed pass plays to him, and this could spell the beginning of the end for the 6 year veteran. Is the change of the guard of the backfield for Dallas getting started? Or are we overthinking things.

Sony Michel- 50% owned
Depending on how serious the Darrell Henderson injury is, Sony Michel could be worthy of a waiver wire add. I have been known to not be the biggest fan of Sony, but where there is volume and positive game script, I will be there. This is probably the worst matchup in Week 3 that a waiver running back could get, but a starting running back is a starting running back. Personally, I will not be picking him up, but there are fantasy players who are down in a deep hole with all the injuries going around, I could see a reason why you would need to add him to your teams.
Derek Carr- 29% owned
Derek Carr is balling out, no doubt about it. He has thrown for 817 yards through two games this year, adding in 4 TDs. The QB with the eyeliner is letting the ball fly, and John Gruden is using his weapons properly for the first time since being the coach in Vegas. The undefeated Raiders are playing well on both sides of the ball and I expect that to continue throughout the season. Be wary of starting him this week, Carr might be dealing with an injury this week so keep an eye out.

Sam Darnold- 26% owned
Our favorite Smooching QB is having one hell of a start to his first season as the Panthers starting QB. He has thrown for 552 yards, 3 TDs and is currently ranked as the QB14 before the Monday Night Football game. This is the classic Adam Gase effect that we have seen time and time again where a player leaves the shackles of Gase and starts to play at a higher level almost immediately. Darnold is a solid option as a stream play every week from here on out as the Panthers have the weapons to put up solid numbers.
Panthers D- 20% owned
The Panthers are heading into Houston in Week 3, and will be facing the Texans who will be without game manager Tyrod Taylor. Rumor has it the Texans trainer stabbed him in the hamstring, but I cannot confirm nor deny. Panthers D made Jameis look like Jameis of old who had butter all over his King Crab hands. The Carolina defense looks really good to start the season, and they have a Thursday Night Football Matchup against a bad team with a rookie QB.
