Week 3 is all over, and I hope you won your fantasy matchups like I did. It was yet another wild weekend in the NFL, records being broken by kickers, injuries all over the place, last second heroics. If you lost a stud player this week due to injury, my deepest condolences are with you and your team. Lets try to find someone to fill the void while you wait for their return!
Chubba Hubbard- 40% owned
During draft season, I tried to drill into peoples minds that they need to draft Hubbard for this exact reason. Not everybody did, and he's still out there on about half of waivers. These backup backs to stud RBs hold a lot of value. He started slow in Thursday's game after the injury to CMC, but he settled down rushing for 52 yards, bringing in 3 receptions for 27 yards. His workload will increase when they can put his skill set into the offense. Pick him up, and do it now.

JJ Taylor- 0% owned
This one is a deeper pickup, and may get overlooked by your average fantasy player. JJ Taylor is the next man up when it comes to catching the ball out of the backfield in New England. The Pats will need to be throwing the ball more than they would like vs Tampa this week, and we should see a good amount of work for Taylor. Harris is still the lead back, but he has hands of stone. You may not even need to use a waiver claim on him and pick him up later on in the week, no risk but all the reward.
Josh Gordon- 10% owned
It seems like every year we hear this story. Josh Gordon is back, healthy and sober. I’m putting him in this article because no matter what I say or do, he will most likely be your top waiver choice. Lets be honest with each other for a moment, we both know you can’t help but to put a claim in on him. Gordon is an insanely talented player, but off the field issues have ruined his career. He just passed his physical and has signed a contract with the Chiefs, a high powered offense that is looking for a solid 3rd option in the passing game. There is value here somewhere, I know it.
Hunter Renfrow- 20% owned
I give a lot of hate towards this guy, for truly no specific reason other than my dear friend Joe Green is a die hard Raiders fan. The Raiders have given up on the run game and have made the passing attack their priority and Derek Carr has thrown for a league leading 1203 yards in the first 3 games. Hunter Renfrow is one of his favorite targets, racking up 197 yards, 1 TD on 16 receptions early on in the season. If this new style of football continues out in the Nevada desert, Renfrow could have WR2 upside the rest of the season.
Cole Beasley - 60% owned
Ah, we have entered Cole Beasley season already! Every year someone drafts Cole Beasley, but then quickly drops him for a new shiny toy. Cole is currently tied for 3rd with 6 red zone targets but has yet to score a TD. That will change eventually as the Bills are finally getting into the swing of things on Offense. Beasley has gotten 30 targets in 3 games that have produced 23 receptions for 194 yards and is currently ranked as the WR28. If he isn’t owned, he should be.
Kyle Juszczyk- 0% owned
Kyle outsnapped Trey Sermon in what should have been a coming out party for Sermon. I guess that Shanahan has a beef with Sermon, but either way Kyle Juszczyk should be picked up if Mitchell is still a no go. The worlds best FullBack was used in the passing game and this week the 49ers face off against Seattle, who has averaged just under 11 passing targets to players out of the backfield. Sneaky flex play this week if you ask me.
